Ahh web design is my new favorite medium as an artist. I’m sure traditional artists may look at computer graphics as the death of classical art forms, but I see it as an upgrade from egg whites to linseed oil. The only only decay is deprecation of  html, css, and other web technologies. My theory in web design is like the whispering voice in Field of Dreams, “Build it and they will come”. Of course marketing never hurts. WordPress is a tool I like to use as the framework, because it allows me to build the field and the team owner to pick their players.  I would love to work for a design firm and work well on my own.

 

Below is the work I created as a student and semi-professional.

 

Sublime Massage Therapy

Sublime Massage Therapy is Jennifer Sartell’s massage business in Chandler, AZ. She was great to work with and provided all of her content. I took a design from one of her fliers and turned it into a website. I look forward to assisting her with future developments and incorporating her website with her business.

 

FlexTM

FlexTM is a metal manufacturer specializing in tooling, machining, stamping, and welding in Whapeton, ND. Brad Odegard requested a simple effective design, which I provided with a basic WordPress theme. It is FlexTM’s first website and look forward to seeing how it evolves as the webmaster.

 

 

 

 

Chism Brown Law

This is my pride and joy of all the websites I have developed. The theme is out of date for the current version of WordPress 3.0 drop down menu feature, but still looks great. What really makes me happy is to see how it comes up with Google search results. I spent a lot of time researching Google and just glad to see it doesn’t require tedious tactics to have a good page ranking and pages displayed in results. Christy provided the content that helped streamline the process of start to finish on the project.

 

 

Hilary Sutter REALTOR ®

Hilary Sutter is a local REALTOR ® in Phoenix and the mother of my child. It is only natural she have a great looking website. The biggest challenge was providing a custom search feature until last year. Finally the ARMLS provided REALTORS ® with access to create their own publishable custom searches without having to go through a Broker or Design Firm paying for access privileges. It is delivered using an i-frame with Java, which the ARMLS runs their system with.

 

Engraved Graphic Arts

EGA is a student work using html, css, some flash and javascript. The redesign was mainly to give it a better look than the Alta Vista era table design. It was also my inspiration to find a better way of producing websites. Creating websites from scratch is easy, but making it dynamic is a major headache without using some kind of supporting code. The other side is the client can not easily make changes or updates without some sort of HTML content editor.

 

For Your Sign Permit Needs

Also student work I developed this for Mel Corely to help promote his sign permit expedition service. Mel wanted to incorporate a USA flag theme and Roadrunner logo he had on his business card.

It’s good to have a guy that knows the ins and outs of all the city codes and regulations…just ask Pabst brewery. Pabst if they had the knowledge prior to commissioning wall murals would have known they require permits. Now they are displayed on billboards in various locations.
